Fox News abruptly interrupts Lara Trump’s defense of Donald Trump

“People feel like you know more in line with this president, and more that they can trust our federal government, where for so long, for so many decades, it felt like something was being held back. This president said, ‘let’s put it all out there,'” she said, per The everyday beast, before her comments were abruptly interrupted.

Anchor Dana Perino quickly intervened.

“Lara, speaking of your father-in-law, President Trump, let’s go see him now,” Dana said, turning the broadcast to what was expected to be a live shot of the president hosting governors at a breakfast in the State Dining Room.

“He’s in the state dining room, where the governors come there for breakfast. I think we can accommodate him here,” Dana continued.

By the time the network connected to the White House, however, the situation had already changed. Press aides were seen leading reporters out of the room after the president initially opened the event to the media.
