The Massachusetts man on trial for allegedly killing and throwing away his wife may have watched a pornographic film about a cheating wife three days before the mother of his three children disappeared, according to testimony from an investigator.
Brian Walshe was on trial Monday in Dedham, Massachusetts, for allegedly murdering and dismembering his wife, Anaand then disposed of her remains on New Year’s Day 2023.
Last month, Walshe pleaded guilty to disposing of Ana’s body and misleading investigators, but denied killing his wife. Ana’s remains were never found.
Nicholas Guarino of the Massachusetts State Police testified under direct questioning Tuesday that Walshe’s laptop had been viewing a pornographic video about an “adulterous woman.”
But under cross-examination, Walshe’s attorney, Larry Tipton, got Guarino to admit that Walshe’s computer searches did not show that the user was specifically looking for dirty movies about a cheating wife.
Tipton indicated that the laptop user had downloaded a video from Pornhub’s vast library of erotic content and even suggested that the user was looking for a specific porn star. During his investigation, Tipton was careful not to identify Walshe as the actual user of the laptop, instead referring to the person as a “device user.”
Guarino also testified that Walshe made numerous Internet searches about the disposal and disposal of bodies, and that he also searched for 1970s serial killer Patrick Kearney, better known as the “Trash Bag Killer.” After killing and dismembering his victims, Kearney threw them into garbage bags.
Day 3 of the trial continues tomorrow.
