Lady Gaga and Prince Photos Are Auctioned for Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood

Striking photos of Lady Gaga, Robert Redford and Prince are being auctioned as part of Milk Studios’ PHOTO25.

The photo of Lady Gaga was taken by Tyler Curtis during a performance at Chicago’s Manor Nightclub in 2008. Titled “Disco Stick,” the photo’s opening bid is $800.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood.

Greg Gorman

The photo of Redford was taken by Greg Gorman at Sydney Pollack’s home in 1986 for Time magazine.

Randee St. Nicholas captured Prince sleeping on a train in Japan in 1992. The musician had flown St. Nicholas to Kyoto for a shoot, but her trip came to an abrupt halt when Prince’s managers arranged for her to leave in the middle of the night because they had gone over budget.

Bids are currently open on artsy.net with a VIP viewing of the lot on December 9 at Milk Studios LA in Los Angeles. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the live auction takes place at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available at givebutter.com.

The auction also includes photographs of Dolly Parton, David Bowie, Dennis Hopper, Divine, David Lynch, Deborah Harry and David Hockney. Also available is a black and white shot of Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta on the set of “Grease.”

The PHOTO auction series was launched almost ten years ago. The proceeds previously went to STORIES: AIDS Monument Foundation and Project Angel Food.
