Joseph Quinn’s Eddie Munson Will Not Appear in ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5

Sorry, Hellfire Club lovers – Joseph Quinn’s Eddie Munson won’t be coming back from the dead in Season 5 of ‘Stranger Things’.
The Duffer Brothers confirmed this in a new one interview with Empire that despite rumors swirling, Munson’s story ended in the show’s fourth season. The actor — who broke out in “Stranger Things” and later starred in “Gladiator II” and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” — played coy at a recent fan convention in Belgium, saying, “I know, but I’m not telling you” (via ScreenRant) when asked if his character could return.
“I love that Joe Quinn plays with people! But no, he’s dead,” Matt Duffer told Empire. “Joe is so busy anyway that everyone should know he’s not coming back. He’s made five movies since then! When the hell does he have time to come and film ‘Stranger Things’? No, unfortunately, RIP. He’s completely underground.”
However, the final season of “Stranger Things” will feature some new Hawkins residents, including “Terminator” star Linda Hamilton, who plays a government agent who hunts down Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
“She’s hyper-intelligent and intimidating,” Matt Duffer said in the Empire interview. “She’s a scientist, but if she needs to, she can pick up a fight and shoot a gun.”
The Duffer Brothers recently teased the show’s epic finale in an extended cover story featuring Variety, with Matt saying, “We’re doing everything we wanted to do with the Demogorgons and Mind Flayer and Vecna and the Upside Down and Hawkins and these characters. This is a complete story. It’s finished.”
