ATRESMEDIA picks up the docuseries ‘vulnerabilities’ of Onza Entertainment

The leading broadcaster of Spain Athresmedia has acquired broadcasting rights on ‘vulnerabilities’, a docuseries about the mental health problems of young people produced by Onza Entertainment.

The three-SEG documentary was made by co-founder and CEO Gonzalo Sagardia of Onza and is directed by Gustavo Ron and Sagardia himself and produced in Onza by Nicolás Bergarche.

“Vulterijen” was developed with the guidance of the Spanish psychiatrist Marián Rojas, as well as with the collaboration of countless national and international experts in the field of mental health.

Rojas also produced in addition to José María Irisarri and Santiago de la Rica.

The Docuseries World will premiere on Tuesday 16 September, screening as part of the non-fiction official part of Spain’s South International Series Festival, which runs from 12-17 September in the Cádiz of Andalusia.

“The increasing deterioration of the mental health care of young people worldwide is worrying. Suicide, sexual violence and physical disorders are undoubtedly three major problems for our society. And they do not get the necessary attention from society or her leaders,” Sagardía said.

“The series tries to increase consciousness and contribute to the development of prevention and treatment programs for these young people who have their entire lives for them,” he noticed.

Working together on “vulnerabilities”, Onza and Atresmedia want to follow the successful path that was taken last year with “Young Adictions” (“Adictos a la Pantalla”), a documentary series that portrays the addictions of young people to new technologies.

The strong interest in Spain lure through Atresmedia’s Channel Lasexta and online on the Atrespayer SVOD -Service of the Congglom, “Adictos a La Pantalla” scored sales deals in important international areas, handled by the distribution of Onza.
