Pete Hegseeth Slams ‘Fat’ troops, requires harder fitness standards

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseeth promises to hit the army back in Vecht form.
The 44-year-old shot on X on Friday, swore the fitness standards to go and go from “fat” to “fit” after a Bombshell report claimed that two-thirds of the US reserve troops are overweight, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

The reaction of Hegseeth followed a new American Security Project study that was released on Thursday, which shows that 68% of the reserve troops are now classified as overweight or obesity – an increase of 65% in 2018.
In a 22 -page study, researchers wrote: “Obesity and the associated circumstances, many of which can prevent or delay the implementation, play an important role in limiting the willingness of reserve components.

“Obesity is strongly associated with numerous disorders in the top five disease categories that control reserve medical encounters and hospital bed days.”
Obesity is a great reason why applicants are disqualified and troops separate early in the guard and reserve, where men are more affected than women.

The national guard of the army has the highest obesity rate at 20.6%, while the Marine Corps Reserve has the lowest at 7.3%.
Researchers added: “Since most national guard and spare personnel serve part -time, there are a number of unique logistics and lifestyle challenges to consider when making policy to prevent and treat obesity in the reserve component.”

Hegseeth, who is said to be on the chopping block at the Ministry of Defense, shared a similar comment while speaking to the US Army War College in Pennsylvania earlier this week.
He explained: “To be deadly, you have to trust that the warrior next to you in the battle or troops fighting in the unit that many of you will lead are really able to do what is needed under fire.
“They must be fit, not fat. Sharp, not poor. Especially our leaders.”

In March Hegseeth posted another message on X – only that time he exchanged “Shabby” for “Sloppig”.
He said: “Our troops will be fit – not fat. Our troops will look sharp – not sloppy. We only look for quality – not quota. Bottom line: our @deptofdefense will make the standards high and great again – all over the power.”

The recent comments from Hegseeth follow him those new media reports that accuse him of a second military leak – this time with divided details about strikes in Yemen.
He reportedly shared the Intel with 13 people via his personal phone, including his wife and brother, who unveiled details such as the timing of our fighter jets and goals.

After his second national security blunder in just a few months in the Pentagon, NPR reported that the White House discreetly kicked off the search to replace Hegseeth – despite vocal support from President Trump and press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Allegedly, an anonymous American officer told NPR: “The White House started looking for a new Minister of Defense”, although the person would not speak in public.

Jennifer Rauchet is called the ‘conditional officer’ of her husband, because she is reportedly glued by his side.
Hegseeth also denied every misconduct, explained during a Easter event of the White House: “This is what the media do, they take anonymous sources of dissatisfied former employees, and then they try to cut and burn people, to ruin their reputation.
“I’m not going to work with me because we change the Ministry of Defense and bring the Pentagon back into the hands of warfighters.”
The acting inspector general of the Ministry of Defense is currently revised his disclosures.
