Murdoch, who turned 94 on Tuesday, is a media -mogul and the founder of News Corporation – who later split into two companies: News Corp and 21st Century Fox (now Fox Corporation).
Born in Australia in 1931, he became known in the 1950s and 1960s for the heirs and expand of his father’s small newspaper company.
In the course of the decades, Murdoch built a global media empire with large television networks such as Fox, newspapers such as The Times and the Sun, and many other media properties worldwide.

Murdoch retired in 2023 and passed on the title of executive chairman and CEO of Fox Corporation to his son Lachlan.

Murdoch is recognized for his powerful influence in the media and political rich, where his companies leave a large mark on global journalism, entertainment and politics.
But during his career, Murdoch was involved in various controversies – including accusations of telephone hacking, accusations of sexual violence and criticism of Bias for Media.

One of the most important and harmful scandals with which Muddoch was confronted was the tapping scandal that hit his British tabloid news around the world.
In 2011 it was revealed that the newspaper had been involved in illegal phone calls of celebrities, politicians, victims of crime and even the families of deceased soldiers and victims of murder.

The Media -Mogul married his fifth wife last summer, shortly after the end of a new engagement.

The scandal resulted in the closure of the outlet, with high-ranking employees-included the editor and head of News International-Werden arrested and charged.

Years later in 2016, the Net of the Fox News sexual harassment scandal was created for the first time.
Various high -ranking figures at the network, including founder Roger Ailes and prominent host Bill O’Reilly, were accused of sexual misconduct.

However, he remained involved as chairman Emeritus of both companies.
In his personal life, the Media Mogul married his fifth wife, the 67-year-old retired Russian molecular biologist Elena Zhukova, in June 2024 on his estate in California.
The wedding followed his short engagement with Ann Lesley Smith, 67, shortly after announcing his divorce from Jerry Hall. Murdoch has now married five times, with his other women, including Patricia Booker, Anna Murdoch Man and Wendi Deng.
After Murdoch’s retirement, his son, Lachlan Murdoch, took over it as executive chairman and CEO of Fox Corporation – the control of the family empire.
In the meantime, Rupert’s other son, James, has mentioned his controversial father a “misogynist” in a new interview about the unrest of the family about control over his massive empire.
His daughter Elisabeth also accused him of ‘blowing a gap in the family’.
