VivaTech celebrates a decade of innovation on the Champs-Élysées | News

VivaTech will turn the Comité Champs-Élysées into a free technology immersion experience accessible to all on June 14.

Founded in 2016 on the initiative of Publicis Groupe and the Groupe Les Échos-Le Parisien, VivaTech has established itself in ten years as the most important European event dedicated to startups and technology.

Every year in Paris it brings together entrepreneurs, researchers, major companies, investors and international decision makers, making France a strategic crossroads for global innovation.

To celebrate this past decade and look ahead to the next, this year VivaTech and the Comité Champs-Élysées are offering an unprecedented, free, immersive outdoor experience, designed to be accessible and engaging.

“From the beginning of VivaTech, I wanted the general public to be able to discover innovations and that they would not be reserved for an elite. On the occasion of this tenth anniversary, with the support of the Comité des Champs Élysées and the City of Paris, we offer a walk through the era of the future, robots, artificial intelligence, within everyone’s reach.

“This is our way of celebrating a decade of innovation by making it more accessible, more vibrant and more human than ever,” said Maurice Lévy, co-chairman of VivaTech.

Even before the opening of VivaTech – which will take place from June 17 to 20 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles – this preview will offer children and adults, both the curious and the passionate, the opportunity to celebrate global innovation in the heart of the capital, on its most iconic street.

During one day, more than 150,000 visitors are invited to discover all the innovations, inventions and demonstrations housed under the eight giant letters of the word VivaTech, eight thematic stops gathered on the roadway to explore the most important technological transformations that will shape our future.

Each space will offer exclusive demonstrations and interactive installations, allowing everyone, regardless of age, to concretely understand and understand the innovations that are already transforming our daily lives.

Throughout the experience, visitors can discover, among other things, a stratospheric capsule that allows observation of the Earth from the upper atmosphere, solar vehicles with a charging option integrated directly into their bodies, and next-generation drones that can inspect or transport payloads without any emissions.

Robotics and human-centric innovation will also be widely represented, with humanoid robots and companion robots capable of interacting with the public, as well as exoskeletons designed to enhance, restore or augment human physical capabilities.

The experience will also highlight concrete impact innovations, such as technologies that produce drinking water from the air, as well as solutions that imagine the city and food of tomorrow (in partnership with Vusion), combining connected objects, sustainable use and sensory experiences.

Finally, in collaboration with Google, artificial intelligence will be explored in a playful, creative and responsible way, through immersive, participatory and artistic experiences, inviting everyone to better understand these technologies and embrace them in a positive way.

In total, more than 35 innovation demonstrations are offered free of charge to visitors.
