Tulip season takes off at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam | News

The weeks between late March and early May are a favorite time on the Amsterdam calendar, with many visitors returning year after year to share the tulip season with family and friends. To offer a fresh take on this annual spectacle, Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam has expanded its signature Tulips in Bloom collection with new and updated experiences.

At the heart of this year’s offering is the new Bloomscape by Helicopter, an elevated expression of romance and adventure. The day begins at the Amsterdam Helipad, where guests board a private Airbus H120 for a 45-minute scenic flight over iconic windmills and sweeping bands of color before landing amid the flowers in Noordwijkerhout. From there, a private transfer leads to a secluded field for an intimate dinner moment, while an Anantara butler presents a carefully orchestrated gourmet picnic with local delicacies such as Dutch caviar with blinis and an old Dutch cheese sandwich with artisan Beemster and homemade apple syrup.

The 2026 collection also brings back two guest favorites. Tulip Treats offers a friendly introduction to the season, starting with a private transfer to the Tulip Museum for an audio tour available in eleven languages. Guests then step into a spectacular show garden, home to four million tulips, before enjoying tea or coffee outside with handmade tulip-shaped cakes. Conceived by a local pastry shop, the colorful cakes are a visual delight: a velvet-trimmed mousse and a jewel-toned jelly cup resting on a buttery base.

Meanwhile, Tulip Tableaux is designed as a romantic escape, transporting guests to a private tulip field by premium transfer. Amid rows of vibrant flowers, an Anantara butler serves a luxurious picnic of local flavors, such as a light lobster salad with artichoke, grapefruit, tomato and asparagus; Dutch caviar with blini and crème fraîche; and a tulip-inspired dessert with layers of pear, elderberries, yogurt and spiced gingerbread cookies.

Guests can also enhance their stay with Anantara Spa’s signature Black Tulip Radiance Facial, which uses premium Bloomeffects skin care using antioxidants sourced from local tulips, or take home exclusive Anantara tulip bulbs in a striking, sunny golden hue. Developed in collaboration with local growers, this unique variety reflects the spirit of the brand and can be spotted every spring at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam and other Anantara properties in Europe.

Bloomscape by Helicopter, which lasts 5.5 hours, costs €6,499 for two people. Tulip Treats, 3.5 hours, costs €475 for two people. Tulip tableaux, 4 hours, costs € 1,399 for two people. All experiences are available from late March to early May, with exact flowering times varying each year, and include luxury car transfers and a Bloomeffects gift bag.
