From July 3 to 5, 2026, Cappadocia will host the second Cappadocia Horse and Horse Culture Festival in the Göreme Festival Area, celebrating the region’s rich equine heritage.
Historically known as “the land of beautiful horses,” Cappadocia will feature three days of traditional and contemporary horse shows – featuring Turkish and international performers – as well as competitions such as mounted archery, horse shows and traditional racing events. There will also be exhibitions and panel discussions, live performances, children’s play areas, guided horse riding experiences and traditional demonstrations such as cirit (Turkish javelin throwing).
Following the recent Michelin Guide Awards for the region, visitors can also sample the authentic flavors of Nevşehir, the unofficial capital of Cappadocia, through special food stalls. The Cappadocia Horse and Equestrian Culture Festival will bring an unforgettable celebration of horse culture to the heart of Türkiye.
