Star Clippers expands rail and sail packages in second edition of special brochure | News

The specialist cruise line has launched its second printed brochure, covering exclusively rail-inspired sailing voyages. It sees a 55% increase in the number of packages offered, compared to the spring 2025 debut of its opening brochure.
The 23-page brochure represents an ongoing demand for enhanced and curated travel post-Covid, which was first recognized in 2021 with a leaflet-style document highlighting four packages consisting of a Mediterranean Star Clippers cruise and a train journey.
The brochure blends a variety of hand-picked sailings across the Mediterranean and Caribbean with rail-based pre- and post-cruise elements curated to suit all tastes and budgets. They range from a 3-night stay in Bari (Puglia) including first class train to Rome, 2 nights in Rome and a 3-night taster cruise aboard the Star Clipper visiting Bastia (Corsica) and Portoferraio (Elba) (Puglia and Rome: A Trulli Unforgettable Journey, September 10, 2027, £3349pp) to an epic 21-night journey consisting of 2 nights in Paris, 5 nights on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express including stays in Budapest and Bucharest, 2 nights in Istanbul, 2 nights in Antalya and 10 nights on board the Star Flyer sailing from Antalya to Istanbul, with visits to ports such as Kekova (Turkey) and Symi, Kastellorizo and Patmos (Greece) (Paris Stay & Venice Simplon-Orient-Express to Istanbul with Aegean Sailing, departs 29th May 2027, £27499pp).
Other packages include a trip from Peru to Grenada with the iconic Machu Picchu site (Machu Picchu and Aruba to Grenada Sail, departing January 18, 2027, £10599pp) and the no-fly option of Aix-en-Provence Stay & Ligurian Sea Sail on board Royal Clipper (departing April 27, 2027, £4299pp).
The brochure represents not only the growing trend for rail elements within a cruise holiday, but also the dedicated and strong relationship between Star Clippers and Fred.Holidays’ expert rail division.
