Sandblu Santorini returns this spring as LXR Hotels & Resorts |’s first Greek hideaway News

Sandblu Santorini will reopen on April 8, 2026, returning as LXR Hotels & Resorts’ first resort in Greece. A retreat above the black sand beaches of Kamari, designed for travelers drawn to discovery, design and highly personalized service. Each of the hotel’s 66 rooms, suites and villas reflects the island’s Cycladic heritage, artfully designed to reflect the volcanic landscape and ever-changing light of the Aegean Sea.
Intriguing design rooted in Cycladic tradition
Perched above the black sand beach of Kamari, the intimate enclave of 36 rooms, 27 suites and three villas features whitewashed walls, volcanic stone and soft coastal tones that reflect the coastline and sky of Santorini. Each room celebrates local craftsmanship with natural wood, sea-washed tones and private terraces that draw the outdoors in, almost half of which have their own private pool. The exclusive villas offer private pools, wide terraces and the kind of privacy that makes the island disappear.

Distinctive dining, rooted in local tradition
Sandblu Santorini’s six culinary destinations each offer a different perspective on the island’s flavors, from just-caught fish to the volcanically grown wines that Santorini is famous for. Nectar reframes Greek cuisine through a contemporary lens, while Plateia caters the day from breakfast to late dinners overlooking the infinity pool and ocean. Aroma houses a 300-label cellar spanning local and international wines, and mornings start with warm pastries and artisan coffee at Stari Bakery. The highlight of Sandblu Santorini’s dining portfolio is Blu, a Rockwell Group-designed terrace restaurant, where modern Greek-Mediterranean cuisine meets Santorini’s most iconic view: UNESCO Geological Heritage Caldera.
