Passtination launches to bring airline loyalty to the destination | News

Passtination, a spin-out from the team behind Global Nomad Pass, has been launched to help airlines increase loyalty beyond in-flight by rewarding members at the destinations they visit.

The launch follows conversations with airlines that repeatedly pointed to the same need: adapting the model behind Global Nomad Pass – a traveler membership best known for its partnerships with Marketing Greece and AEGEAN Airlines – for airline loyalty. Global Nomad Pass connects travelers to merchant-funded discounts at over 500 local businesses worldwide through a mobile wallet card.

A fully white-label solution, Passtination helps airlines turn their loyalty program into an in-destination benefit by offering their members instant, merchant-funded discounts at local restaurants, hotels, fitness studios and experiences around the world.

Safir Jamal, Founder and CEO of Passtination, said: “Airline loyalty is built for flights, but flights are just the beginning. The moments that define our journeys happen on the ground, where we eat, stay, shop and explore. Yet most airline loyalty programs disappear as soon as the plane lands, creating a missed opportunity to strengthen loyalty and influence the next booking.

“At the same time, traveler expectations are changing. Today’s travelers expect immediate value, not points to redeem years from now. Passtination gives airlines a way to meet that expectation without redesigning what they’ve already built. It complements – rather than replaces – the earn-and-burn model.”

The company builds and operates custom merchant networks for each airline, issues branded wallet cards specific to the loyalty program, and captures real-world data based on how members actually spend and discover after landing.

Airlines can offer their loyalty members free trial passes based on their status level, and then convert that engagement into paid upgrades through cash or points redemption. Because merchants fund the discounts and Passtination’s fixed annual fee covers all technology and operations, each free-to-paid upgrade directly benefits the airline’s bottom line.

The model also creates opportunities for airlines to increase engagement between trips, drive points redemptions, increase adoption and use of co-brand cards, and deliver highly personalized offers to each member through location-based push notifications.

Passtination is one of the first companies to launch a dedicated destination airline loyalty solution. The model turns the destination itself into a loyalty touchpoint, keeping members engaged between trips and giving airlines a presence that lasts beyond the flight.
