Nicki Minaj’s assault case, police request arrest warrant
Nicki Minaj could face criminal charges for the incident alleged in her former manager’s recent lawsuit… TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Detroit police have sent a warrant to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, which is being reviewed to determine whether criminal charges will be filed.
It is up to the prosecutor to decide whether to file charges.
All of this relates to the lawsuit Brandon Garrett — a man who claims he was in charge of Minaj — filed Friday… and she claimed got physical with him in Detroit in April 2024.
According to the lawsuit, Garrett claims he was called into her dressing room after a show… and he says she flew into a rage when she learned he had once sent someone else to pick up one of her prescriptions.
Garrett claims Nicki repeatedly told him his “life was over” before punching him in the face with an open hand. He says Nicki then punched his wrist and knocked documents out of his hand.
