Love Is Blind’s Madison describes her ideal partner after Joe Split

Love is blind season 9 stars Madison Maidenberg is ready to mingle after her breakup Joe Ferrucci.

“I am single and accepting recommendations,” Madison, 28, wrote via her Instagram Story on Thursday, October 23, after she was asked if she was seeing someone new.

In a follow-up slide, Madison revealed her wish list for a future partner.

“Quality I want: grounding, assured consistent energy,” Madison said, then listed what she doesn’t want. “Inconsistent, destabilizing [and] confusing.”

Madison got engaged to Joe, 29, unseen in the Love is blind pods, but their seamless connection faltered in real life. Joe eventually ended their engagement prior to their wedding day, claiming that Madison just wasn’t The One.

“It seemed like Madison was all in and what you would want in a person. I, on the other hand, had some concerns, nervous, scared, anxious. I never saw that coming from Madison,” Joe shared exclusively We weekly earlier this month. “I think it scared me too, seeing that, and I know she wanted to continue the experiment, go through it, get as much out of it as she could, like, ‘Is this my person?’ More time to discover that. I think there was a certain breaking point for me where I could no longer continue.”

Joe reached his “breaking point” while shopping for a wedding suit, abruptly running out of gear while Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” played in the background.

“I definitely fell. At that moment, [I’m thinking]’Why am I going through these motions when I have it in my head that I’m ultimately not going to be able to say yes on that wedding day?’” Joe recalled Us. “It felt a little wrong on my part, and I could have handled it better. That’s the story of my experiment on TV. It just felt disingenuous on my part to even be there, if I didn’t think we had enough time to get there or if I knew this wasn’t my person.”

As for Madison, she eventually realized that Joe wasn’t her perfect match either.

“I want and deserve to be chosen, and in the pods I felt so chosen,” Madison said on an Oct. 16 episode of the “Love to See It” podcast. “I felt so wanted, and I literally haven’t felt that since [the] reveal. It was kind of like, ‘Okay, it’s time for me to be honest with myself and stop being such a lover’s girl and really allow the curtain to come down.’ I think the moment I felt like it was really done was when I took off my ring.

She continued, “I thought, ‘I don’t think I should be wearing this anymore. This conversation isn’t going anywhere else. I’m not getting an answer to this and I need to start my healing journey.'”

Madison further elaborated on how she put her broken engagement behind her on Thursday.

“I have an amazing therapist,” Madison wrote via her Instagram Story. “I’ve completely recalibrated and gotten in touch with my character a lot and learned to trust my intuition to see red flags for what they are. I have an incredible support system, so that’s been monumental.”

Madison and Joe will next meet during the Love is blind season 9 reunion airs on Netflix on Wednesday, October 29 at 9pm ET.
