New Wave of Wellness at The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas | News

The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas serves up the latest trend in racquet sports, with the addition of two new padel courts. The padel courts, lighted for nighttime play, accompany three Har-Tru tennis courts, all newly surfaced for a premier court experience. The courses are steps away from the beautiful tiered gardens of Versailles and the picturesque lagoon pool with waterfall, and are easily accessible on foot from the main resort guest rooms.
In addition to the padel courts, guests can enjoy a new sports field with basketball hoop and an adjacent artificial grass field, ideal for football and other games on the lawn. The improvements further position The Ocean Club as a premium destination for those who prioritize integrating physical fitness into their vacation plans. With instruction available from professional Marvin Rolle, guests who are experts in padel or just starting out can find tailor-made coaching available, tailored to their playing level. Rolle is a highly regarded player who has represented The Bahamas in multiple competitions. Rolle won a bronze medal at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. His father, Leo Rolle, was a leading tennis professional at The Ocean Club for more than 50 years, so the love of tennis runs in the family.
“The Ocean Club offers many activities for guests who want to have fun and stay active as part of their vacation,” said John Conway, General Manager. “Padel courts are a wonderful addition to our beautiful tennis courts, which are surrounded by incredible palm trees for a tropical experience on the courts. With our water sports, fitness center and outdoor jungle gym, bike rentals and access to the beautiful Ocean Club golf course, there are many opportunities for our guests to keep fit while on holiday in our piece of paradise.”
The padel and sports fields are available to guests in May.

Fitness and activities
The resort’s fitness center offers an indoor gym and an outdoor ‘jungle gym’, which is a hit with guests for its tropical environment and unique way to exercise. Although many hotel gyms are often located on the lower floors, often even without windows, training among the palm trees in the balmy climate is a true island experience. With regular fitness classes, from cardio to pilates, offered several times a week, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Nearby, the Tom Weiskopf-designed 18-hole Ocean Club Golf Course offers some of the most beautiful scenery, along with a challenging layout. Plus, water sports abound, including kayaking, snorkeling and more, all arranged through the concierge.
Between fitness classes, swimming, tennis, padel and golf, relaxation is the main activity at The Ocean Club; it’s the place to really experience being on ‘island time’ and taking a break. Relax in the resort’s many hammocks strung among the palms, float on the beach or in the tranquil Versailles adults-only pool, recently expanded with beautiful cherry-red parasol umbrellas and matching sun loungers, with a custom tropical marine life pattern. After playing on the sports field, take a nap to the soothing sounds of the waterfall at the family lagoon pool. Enjoy a spa treatment at the resort’s Balinese-style spa, featuring eight intimate private spa bungalows with deep soaking tubs and indoor and outdoor space to relax.
Reserve a wellness-focused escape
The Ocean Club offers numerous room types, from connecting rooms and suites, to two garden bungalows with private plunge pools, and three beautiful private beachfront villas with three and four bedrooms. The rooms at the Hartford Wing are centered around a beautiful courtyard with fountain, while some overlook the beach and others overlook a tropical garden. Crescent Wing rooms and suites feature a beach-inspired color scheme in sand and aqua tones. These spacious rooms all offer beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and a verdant green palm garden, dotted with hammocks and Adirondack chairs. The beach villa residences are the ultimate retreat for families or friends traveling together, with a full kitchen, spacious outdoor terrace and infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and private beach access.
The Ocean Club, Four Seasons Residences Bahamas is now offering ownership, with expected completion in 2028. Guests can stop by the residential sales center at the Hartford Gallery, located in the Hartford Wing near the Spa entrance, to learn more about this exciting new development.
