New for summer 2026: Forest Adventure Zone to encourage family tourism in the Scottish Highlands | News

A new £500,000 forest adventure zone will come into action in the Scottish Highlands this summer, in a major boost to family tourism for the Cairngorms National Park.

Work is now underway at the Landmark Forest Adventure Park in Carrbridge, located between Aviemore and Inverness, including a new attraction in the form of a six-lane toboggan run.

The new experience, the first of its kind in Scotland, is expected to bring an additional 10,000 visitors to the park over a twelve-month period.

The toboggan run is suitable for adults and children aged four and up and can accommodate up to six people to race through an undulating network of outdoor and indoor tracks. Height restrictions apply. The new ride is expected to be used by up to 45,000 people in July and August during the summer holidays.

Additional visitor attractions include bouncy castles, an obstacle course, a hexagonal swing, an accessibility roundabout, a climbing frame, musical instruments and a sandpit suitable for all levels.

Founded over 56 years ago in 1970, Landmark is an award-winning visitor attraction with a variety of more than 22 indoor and outdoor attractions, including Wild Water Coasters, Climbing Rides, Butterfly House and Dinosaur Kingdom.

Landmark is located in Carrbridge, just off the A9 between Inverness and Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park. Ticket prices include the new forest adventure zone, the toboggan run and access to all other attractions. £33 per adult and £31 per child aged four and over.
