Michael Jackson’s family furious over Arena resurrection plan

As preparations continue, tensions threaten to rise between the studio and the Jackson family, with an insider saying: “Producers wanted to celebrate his legacy. Instead, they’ve managed to upset the very people who protect it.”
A biopic about Jackson, directed by Antoine Fuqua, has also stirred controversy.
The film also follows Jackson’s rise from Motown wunderkind to global icon and will star his 27-year-old nephew Jaafar Jackson, alongside Colman Domingo and Miles Teller. Production began last year, but the release was postponed from April 2025 to April 2026 to allow for additional post-production and promotional planning.
But members of the Jackson family strongly disagree. The late singer’s 27-year-old daughter, Paris Jackson, has publicly distanced herself from the project.
She seethes: “The story is fact-checked and there’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of outright lies. Ultimately, that doesn’t really sit well with me. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it.”
