Melania Trump was quick to troll the fleeing White House Christmas event

Christmas has been a controversial topic surrounding Trump since an audio of her talking about it was leaked in 2020.

The leaked recording dates from 2018, during the first term of her husband, Donald Trump.

“I’m working… really hard on the Christmas stuff, you know, who cares about the Christmas stuff and decorations?” she said, opening up about her responsibilities regarding the holiday.

“Okay, and then I do it and I say I’m doing Christmas and making plans for Christmas and they said, ‘Oh, what about the kids they were separated?’ Give me a break,” she added, referring to the divorce policy Donald launched during his first term.

Melania’s Christmas decor also came under fire during Donald’s first term for featuring blood-red ‘American Treasures’ trees. People compared these to coloring out The Handmaid’s Tale And The radiant.

However, the White House stood behind her, defending the color choice as a reference to “pale or stripes, found in the presidential seal designed by our Founding Fathers” and calling it a “symbol of courage and bravery.”
