Luxury redefined at sea: the debut of Four Seasons Yachts | News

Yesterday, Four Seasons Yachts’ first ship, Four Seasons I, embarked on its maiden voyage in the Mediterranean, translating Four Seasons hospitality into a new frontier of ultra-luxury travel. Custom built from the ground up and completely shaped around the guest, the yacht extends the legendary Four Seasons service to sea for the first time.
Inspired by the romance of the nautical lifestyle, Four Seasons I redefines modern yachting by combining the exclusivity and freedom of a private yacht with Four Seasons personalized service and experiences, alongside exceptional culinary vision, integrated wellness offerings and curated art and design in a deliberately intimate, sophisticated maritime setting. Residential-style suites, many with expansive terraces and private plunge pools, offer space and seclusion, while access to exclusive marinas and marinas for yachts sets a new benchmark for sea travel.
“Today’s luxury traveler values time, trust and authenticity above all else,” said Ben Trodd, CEO, Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd., co-owner/operator of Four Seasons Yachts. “With the trust our guests place in Four Seasons comes an equally high expectation of excellence. At Four Seasons Yachts, we answer that call by combining our global standard for luxury hospitality with renowned maritime leadership, inviting our guests to explore the world from a whole new vantage point.”
The maiden voyage, departing on March 20, 2026, is symbolically significant as it coincides with Four Seasons’ 65th anniversary and the opening of the company’s first hotel on the first day of spring in 1961. This moment marks both a celebration of the brand’s enduring excellence and the beginning of a new chapter as Four Seasons extends its globally recognized hospitality from land and air to sea. In honor of this important legacy, Four Seasons founder and chairman Isadore Sharp and his wife Rosalie Sharp have been named godparents of Four Seasons I, celebrating a long maritime tradition when a ship embarks on its maiden voyage.
“Four Seasons Yachts debuts on the same day the very first Four Seasons hotel opened 65 years ago, making this milestone even more meaningful as we celebrate our company’s history while looking forward to the bright future ahead,” said Alejandro Reynal, President and Chief Executive Officer of Four Seasons. “Four Seasons Yachts is a continuation of the groundbreaking ambition on which Four Seasons was built, and will reflect the same genuine care, outstanding service and exceptional moments we create for guests on land. We are proud to introduce a new expression of our brand at sea, opening a whole new horizon for our guests.”
The exceptional design of Four Seasons I
At 207 meters (679 feet) long, the Four Seasons I is designed as a residential-inspired vessel that takes the sailing experience to the next level. The design subtly references the golden age of yachting, inspired by the legendary superyacht Christina O, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Meticulously designed with just 95 expansive suites, all featuring generous indoor-outdoor living, no interior cabins, and supported by a one-to-one guest-to-staff ratio, the yacht enables a level of personalization and comfort rarely experienced in a sea-based environment. Visionary design by Tillberg Design from Sweden, social spaces by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, creative direction by Prosper Assouline and built by Fincantieri set a new standard for ship design. Together, these elements place Four Seasons Yachts in a category of one.
The ship gives priority to light-filled, open spaces where the environment remains the focal point. Floor-to-ceiling windows, generous terraces and carefully integrated outdoor elements blur the boundary between inland and the sea.
One of the yacht’s most exceptional accommodations is the nearly 929 square meter Funnel Suite, positioned on the forward-facing bow and offering stunning panoramic views. On the other side is the almost 743 square meter Loft Suite with a large terrace at the back.
Culinary excellence at sea
Culinary craftsmanship distinguishes Four Seasons I as a gastronomic destination in its own right, with 11 distinct restaurants and lounges – from fine Mediterranean seafood to an intimate omakase experience – each with a steadfast commitment to craftsmanship and local and seasonal produce.
At the center of the onboard offering, Sedna will introduce its signature Chef-in-Residence series, which welcomes a rotating selection of talent from Michelin-starred Four Seasons restaurants, including Christian Le Squer of Le Cinq at Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris; Luca Piscazzi of Pelagos in Athens; Guillaume Galliot of Caprice in Hong Kong; Yoric Tièche from Le Cap in Cap-Ferrat; and Paolo Lavezzini of Il Palagio in Florence. These limited commissions introduce immersive tasting menus and special dining journeys, transforming every meal into a celebration of place, craft and culture. This continued investment in culinary excellence represents an unprecedented commitment within the yachting industry, positioning Four Seasons I not only as a ship with exceptional dining options, but as a true epicurean platform at sea.
Culinary experiences extend beyond the restaurants into a collection of thoughtful social spaces designed to shape the rhythm of each day on board. Among them, the Horizon Bar and the sophisticated Bar O serve as natural extensions of the Yacht’s food and beverage program. Set against stunning sea views, Horizon Bar features a private plunge pool and a striking open-air design, creating a relaxing environment for daytime gatherings. Bar O offers a more intimate, designer lounge dedicated to craft cocktails and rare spirits, inviting guests to linger over a nightcap in elegant surroundings.
Wellness experiences guided by the five elements of vitality
Wellness is woven into the Four Seasons Yachts experience and anchored at L’Oceana Spa. Guided by the five elements of vitality and inspired by the restorative power of the sea, this retreat offers premium treatments and amenities, including a hammam and a thermal circuit complete with a sauna, aromatic steam and cold therapies. Additional innovations and treatments available include cryotherapy, infrared therapy beds, hydrotherapy and advanced recovery treatments designed to support recovery and longevity during the journey and beyond.
Drawing on natural elements and global wellness traditions, the programming offers guests a holistic approach to relaxation and renewal throughout each voyage, through experiences such as sunrise yoga and meditation on the yacht’s deck, private breathing sessions, personalized fitness training and guided mindfulness practices. The spa’s dedicated reflection lounge provides a tranquil space for rest and contemplation, while bespoke wellness menus and culinary offerings cater to a wide range of dietary preferences and nutritional goals. Together, these offerings reflect a deeply considered vision of well-being at sea, in line with the priorities of the yacht’s guests, for whom restoration, longevity and conscious living are at the heart of their experience.

Introduction of the Dwarse Marina
Special Marina Days extend time at sea even further, taking breaks to explore peaceful and remote waters. The yacht’s transverse marina – which opens on both sides of the ship – transforms into a private retreat with direct access to the sea, water sports and curated recreational programs. Features of this scale and design are exceptionally rare at sea, making the yacht one of the few worldwide to offer such direct, immersive access to the water.
In addition to time on board, each voyage is complemented by customized coastal and marine experiences, carefully curated around the interests of each guest, couple, family or group. Rather than pre-designed excursions, itineraries are pre-tailored by the dedicated Four Seasons Yachts Experiences team to reflect individual passions. Each trip is different, offering activities ranging from remote coastal explorations and private cultural encounters to coveted dinner reservations and tailor-made adventures that bring each destination to life.
For the first season, Mediterranean itineraries aboard Four Seasons I combine iconic ports with off-the-beaten-path coastal discoveries. Highlights include legendary enclaves such as Saint-Tropez, sought-after destinations such as Bodrum and lesser-visited ports including Hydra and Montenegro, in addition to sailings around the Greek islands and Croatian coast. In its debut year, the yacht will introduce 32 voyages across 52 sailings, exploring 130 different destinations in more than 30 countries and territories in the Mediterranean in summer and to the Caribbean and Bahamas in winter. The first season marks the beginning of a long-term global vision, with additional routes and ships planned in the coming years.
