Lewis Pullman Shares Dad Bill’s Advice on Working in Hollywood (Excl)

Lewis Pullman shared the guidance he received from his famous father, Bill Pullmanabout working in showbiz.
Lewis, 32, told exclusively We weekly bee Ann Lee’s will premiered in Hollywood on December 14 that his father, 72, takes a more narrative approach to imparting wisdom.
“I get so much great and valuable advice from my dad. He doesn’t give me direct advice. He leads by example and tells stories,” Lewis said. Us. “He doesn’t want to stand in my way of finding a path that is mine, and he is very aware of the fact that we are different people with different inclinations and that the way we grow is different. I don’t know how I could do anything without him. I love him so much.”
Lewis is the youngest son of the Independence Day actor and dancer Tamara Hurwitz. Bill and Hurwitz, 55, also share a daughter Maesa37, and son Jac36, both of whom also work in the creative sector.
Lewis will star next Amanda Seyfried, Christopher Abbot, Viola Prettejohn, Tim Blake Nelson, Matthew Beard and more in historical music drama, Ann Lee’s will from director Mona Snelvold.
Fastvold, 44, is known for co-writing the Oscar-winning film The brutalist and directing The world to come And The Sleepwalker.
Lewis talked about working with the very talented Seyfried, 40, on the film.
“I think her ability to immerse herself in every scene, and then come out and be a mother and be a leader and laugh was mind-blowing,” Lewis said. Us. “I don’t know how she was able to combine that and deliver the performance that she did. I mean, she’s phenomenal at this.”
Lewis said Us that “everything” surprised him when it came to working with the award-winning actress.
“You learn something new about her every day. She’s very unpredictable,” Lewis said. “She doesn’t question her truth and her opinions. And there’s something so encouraging and beautiful about that. And I think in many ways that’s very true to who Ann Lee was. And she went against all odds. She started a movement where everyone thought she was either the Second Coming or she was a witch, and so Amanda was able to elegantly shape that character so beautifully.”
Ann Lee’s will will hit select U.S. theaters on Thursday, December 25.
Seyfried recently opened up to Us about how playing the titular character pushed her beyond acting.
“This also changed my life as a musician, not as an actor, but as a musician,” she said Us at its premiere on December 14. “It has completely revolutionized the way I relate to music and myself. You won’t believe you get these shaking anthems stuck in your head and you want to hear them over and over again.”
The Mama Mia actress also had a movie released this month, The maidstarring Sydney Sweeney And Brandon Sklenarwhich hit theaters on Friday, December 19.
Of the two films, Seyfried noted that “they couldn’t be more different.”
