King Charles wished Andrew and Fergie would remain invisible
King Charles has made it clear that he wants Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson to take a step back from the spotlight – to tell insiders Radaronline.com The frost wishes that the pair would be “just invisible.”
The 76-year-old Sovereign, who has chased the monarchy since his accession in 2022, would be frustrated about the constant controversies around the Duke and Duchess of York.
Sources claim that he has told advisers that he would prefer that they assume “out of sight, out of the mind” at royal meetings, which avoid prominent roles in services or family performances.
An insider of the palace said: “The king knows that Andrew will always be his brother and that Sarah has her place in the family, but he would rather stay in the shade. If they pop up, he wants them to keep a low profile and avoid a spectacle of themselves. In his mind, the best result would be in the background.”
Another source explained: “Charles has no desire to be ashamed of them, but his patience is wearing thin. The controversies keep coming back, and every time the monarchy takes the hit. He believes that the best way is ahead to Andrew and Sarah to stay out of sight, so the attention and criticism that ultimately fades.”
De Hertog, 65, was forced to get rid of the public tasks in 2019 after his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview About his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, and he later paid a scheme to Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual abuse when she was 17 – accusations that he always denied.
More recently, the Duchess, 65, was confronted with criticism after it originated that she had described Epstein in an e -mail of 2011 as a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend”.

A royal assistant said: “William has long made it clear that Andrew is a liability for the reputation of the family. He believes that the monarchy can no longer accept scandals, and he is strong behind his father’s decision to keep both Andrew and Sarah on the sidelines.”
Last year both Andrew and Sarah missed the annual family -Christmas lunch in Buckingham Palace and the Sandringham festivities after palace figures had encouraged them to stay away. Sarah was then credited with the convincing of Andrew to withdraw, something that Charles reportedly thanked her.
Her absence was especially remarkable, because the Duchess had gradually welcomed in the fold since the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
