Katie Miller rages against South Africa, they pull ‘Melania’ film

Term reported that the film was pulled for “political reasons,” which may have to do with comments Donald Trump has made that a “genocide” against white Afrikaner farmers is underway.
The president claimed that white South Africans are “being killed and slaughtered” as one of the reasons why he refused to attend the G20 summit in Johannesburg in November 2025.
“Afrikaners (people descended from Dutch settlers, as well as French and German immigrants) are being murdered and slaughtered, and their lands and farms are being illegally confiscated,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He added: “No US government official will be present as long as these human rights violations continue. I look forward to hosting the G20 in Miami, Florida in 2026!”
When the US took over the presidency of the G20 in 2026, South Africa announced it would temporarily withdraw from the organization to allow tensions between the countries to cool. Trump has also had to deal with trade issues with South Africa, as well as the country’s close growth with Russia and China through the BRICS.
“South Africa wants to avoid any problem and crisis with the United States, and it is a very rational decision,” Johannesburg professor and political expert Koffi Kouakou told French ROI on the G20 withdrawal.
