Kate Mansi leaves ‘general hospital’ after three years

Actor Kate Mansi is leaving “General Hospital” after three years in the role of Kristina Corinthos Davis.
It is understood that the final episodes of Mansi will air in June.
The news of Mansi’s departure was first reported on Sunday from Soap Opera Network And confirmed by soap journalist Stephanie Sloane featuring commentary from Mansi and “General Hospital” executive producer and showrunner Frank Valentini.
Mansi joined ‘General Hospital’ in 2023 after a nine-year stint on NBC’s ‘Days of Our Lives’. In ‘General Hospital’ she stepped into a role previously played by Lexie Answorth.
Mansi was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award last year for her work on “General Hospital.” She won a Daytime Emmy in 2017 for her role as Abigail Deveraux on “Days of Our Lives.” She directed two episodes of ‘General Hospital’ during her time on the show.
Mansi told Sloane that it was her decision to leave the show at the end of her current contract. She described her time on “General Hospital” as “such a meaningful and unforgettable ride. I loved being a fiery Corinthos-Davis girl in such a phenomenal family.”
In a statement, Valentini claimed: “We love Kate and support her decision to leave” and suggested she would be welcome. “The door is always open and we appreciate everything she has brought to the show over the past three years,” he said.
Mansi’s other credits include the Amazon/Freevee drama series “Casa Grande,” which aired in 2023, and was followed by a “Casa Grande” film that debuted on Prime Video earlier this month. She topped the 2019 NBC miniseries “Days of Our Lives: Chad and Abby in Paris.” Mansi also starred in the 2020 indie film ‘Legend of the Muse’.
