Justine Lupe wonders if no one wants this, which Morgan’s happy ending will demonstrate

Justine Lupe has high hopes for season 3 of Nobody wants this — but there’s one storyline she’s not sure the show will explore.
During an exclusive interview with We weekly at TheWrap Power Women Summit 2025 on Tuesday, December 2, Lupe, 36, teased what fans can expect when the hit Netflix show returns with more episodes.
“I have so much confidence in these showrunners. I’m just excited to see what they come up with,” she noted. “I think they’re so talented and I love each of these characters so much that I’m kind of looking forward to the surprise.”
Lupe acknowledged how season 3 would improve in the wake of Morgan’s failed engagement.
“I have faith in Morgan’s happy ending,” she said. “I don’t know if it will happen on camera, but I have faith in her as a person who will figure her things out. I do think she will get a happy ending.”
Nobody wants thiswhich premiered in September 2024, centers on the unlikely relationship between outspoken, agnostic Joanne (Kristen Bell) and unconventional Rabbi Noah (Adam Brody). After the success of the first season, the show returned for a second season, which was picked up after Joanne and Noah decided to give their unlikely romance a real shot – and more people in their lives followed, including her sister Morgan.

Season 2 premiered in October and showed Morgan finding love with Dr. Andy (Arian Moayed), who turned out to be not only a therapist, but also her therapist. Despite Joanne’s objections, Morgan remained with Dr. Andy dated, and they even got engaged.
Ultimately, Morgan couldn’t avoid the red flags and pulled the plug on their engagement party. She also continued to grow closer to Sasha (Timothy Simons), whose marriage to Esther (Jackie Tohn) got into big trouble.
Nobody wants this also found ways to continue to surprise audiences thanks to some star-studded cameos. Leighton Master And Set Rogen appeared in fun Season 2 roles, which could pave the way for more appearances.
“Of course [I would come back]”, he said Us last month. “If that’s what they want!”
Rogen continued: “It’s fun [to see the support]! Frankly, we have entered a new domain of cultural importance. I don’t feel that way at all. I think infinitely more people saw me on Nobody Wants This [than my other shows like The Studio]!”
Looking ahead to Season 3, Lupe made some suggestions for funnier celebrity cameos.
“I said recently that I liked the idea of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn on the show,” she said Us. “I think they’re both such funny, fun-loving geniuses and would really fit into the show.”
Nobody wants this is currently streaming on Netflix.
