Jill Biden slams Kamala Harris for pushing for quick approval

In her upcoming memoir, View from the East Wingset to release on June 2, Jill recalled the dramatic July 21, 2024 conversation in which President Biden informed Harris that he would be ending his re-election campaign, per The New York Post.
According to an excerpt published by USA todayHarris responded, “Oh my God, Joe. Are you sure?” before the conversation quickly moved toward securing Joe’s approval.
When Joe suggested he wait until the next morning before publicly endorsing Harris, she reportedly pushed back and said, “I want it sooner.”
The former president then told Harris he would call her back “when I find out about this,” but Jill claimed the then-vice president continued to pressure him.
“Can you do it quickly? Say, in 20 minutes?” Harris reportedly asked.
Jill wrote that Harris’ tone reminded her of “a prosecutor in court” and said she eventually walked out of the room.
