JD Vance criticized by Donald Trump for his choice of socks

Trump joked that Vance was quickly thrown from the stage, wondering why officers didn’t bring him out so dramatically.

Speaking May 11 at a Police Week event in the Rose Garden, Trump described the moments after gunfire broke out outside the Washington Hilton on April 25, according to video obtained by The New York Post.

“They had great professional people, and they came out in seconds,” Trump told the crowd, praising the Secret Service agents.

But the president quickly made fun of Vance’s panicked removal from the ballroom.

“I saw them grab JD by the shoulders and lift him up like he was a little boy,” Trump said. “I said, ‘Why didn’t they pick me up so quickly?'”

The crowd laughed as Trump continued: “They lifted JD up – got ripped out of the chair. That was a sight of the week, but they did their job, JD, right? I think so.”
