InterLnkd launches NEXORA to help airlines sell in-flight accessories | News

InterLnkd today unveiled NEXORA, a composite support flow that helps onboard connectivity partners turn onboard dwell time into a revenue opportunity – both in full onboard Wi-Fi and in closed inflight network environments.

Built as a drop-in upsell layer for inflight portals, NEXORA extends the curation and personalization technology behind InterLnkd’s AirMall inflight retail solution to the broader ancillary market.

It combines InterLnkd’s merchant network with a partner’s own supplier relationships, then arranges and manages offers in a single flow. Instead of presenting passengers with a static catalogue, it shows the offers most likely to convert – using signals such as route, cabin, loyalty level, dwell time and arrival window.

Barry Klipp, CEO of InterLnkd, said: “The flight itself is the biggest window of attention in travel. Passengers spend hours on board, often within a closed connectivity channel managed by the airline or IFC provider. Yet almost none of the $135 billion travelers spend on ground equipment is converted in the air today.

“To upsell passengers in-flight, integrating a few APIs won’t be enough. The hardest part is turning a pool of offerings into one offering that converts. We built NEXORA to monitor the best-performing placements and build the right offer for each passenger. The model is constantly learning: winners rise, losers sink.”

NEXORA will bring multiple pre-integrated offering categories live from day one, including retail, experiences, events, restaurants, airport offerings, transportation, connectivity and accommodation. The curation engine ranks, de-duplicates, and personalizes the offerings in each category, rating each placement based on expected revenue per impression.

The solution is built to support multiple commercial deployments and connectivity models: it can run on InterLnkd’s own pipelines or on a partner’s existing suppliers, whether the aircraft offers full on-board Wi-Fi or a closed on-board network. Partners can earn revenue from every conversion, with promoted placements and sponsored offers adding a second additional revenue stream.
