IHG Hotels & Resorts signs deal for InterContinental Jaipur Achrol Resort | News

IHG® Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, has signed a management agreement with Makson India Hospitality Pvt Ltd. for InterContinental Jaipur Achrol Resort. The 225-storey luxury resort, expected to open in early 2030, marks another milestone in the company’s strategic expansion into India’s fast-growing leisure destinations.
The property features 36 villas in addition to 189 rooms and is designed to provide an immersive resort experience and elevated luxury offerings. Located on a 16-acre plot along the Delhi-Jaipur Road in Achrol, the InterContinental Jaipur Achrol Resort will be the fourth IHG-branded hotel within the greater Jaipur city limits and the second InterContinental hotel in the market.

With more than 240 hotels open worldwide and 104 in the pipeline, the brand continues to expand to key destinations around the world.

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan and a key part of India’s Golden Triangle tourist circuit, continues to witness strong tourism growth, driven by its rich cultural heritage and architectural monuments, including Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar and the Walled City. The city is also a leading destination for high-profile weddings and events, where demand for luxury venues is increasing.

The InterContinental Jaipur Achrol Resort will feature four dining options, including an all-day restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge and a pool bar. The resort will also offer extensive event spaces in two locations, including a ballroom, making it an ideal destination for weddings and social gatherings. Additional facilities include a club lounge, spa, fitness center, swimming pool, shops and ample parking.
With this signing, IHG continues to accelerate its growth in India, especially in the luxury and lifestyle segments, while strengthening its presence in key leisure destinations in the country.
IHG® currently has 52 hotels across six brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts®, Crowne Plaza®, voco™ Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort® and Holiday Inn Express®. With a robust pipeline of 98 hotels under development, the company is strategically advancing its ambition to more than triple its real estate in the market, targeting more than 400 hotels open and under development within the next five years.
