Google’s Gemini AI app could soon be getting a big makeover

After the success of OpenAI’s video editing app Sora, now at the top of the American App Store, Google may want to give his Gemini Ai -app a more visually focused refurbishment. The company apparently is experimenting with a new user interface that would move the app from having a chatbot style look and feel to someone who offers a sliding feed with proposed prompts accompanied by striking photos.
The Changes were spotted In a recent version of the Gemini Android app through the news site Android Authority, but not yet live for the public. Instead, a reverse engineer has switched on a new start screen of the app by looking at the code of the app. There were quick buttons to do things such as “Create Image” or access to “Deep Research” on the screen and were then followed by the sliding feed.
A Google spokesperson reached comments and said there is no announcement yet to ‘just’ make it.
In the examples shown, prompts suggested fun things to do with your photos, such as ‘teleport me to deep space’, ‘give me a vintage or grunge look’ or ‘change my drawing into a story book’, among other things. Other clues with a colorful background offered different ideas about things to ask Gemini, or proposed use cases. For example, a quick idea said: “Brainstorming aloud with live”, and another said, “Send me a daily news round.”

The idea is to inspire users with more specific suggestions to use Gemini’s AI, instead of having them find out to find out the possibilities of the AI Chatbot in itself. However, the makeover would also make the Gemini app more visually attractive and attractive.
If it is pushed live to the public, it could also help Google to challenge rival OpenAi, whose chatgpt -app is still quite minimalist if it is launched to a largely empty screen. Moreover, it could benefit from the consumer question to the newer AI image model of Google, Nano Banana, which the Gemini app helped climb the top graphs of the App Store in September; It became the number 1 app as of 12 September and kept that ranking until he was started by Sora.
