FilmSharks sells North American rights to ‘A Silent Death’ to Myriad

LA-based Myriad Pictures has released ‘A Silent Death’, Sebastian Schindel’s latest psychological crime thriller.
The deal, between Myriad’s Kirk D’Amico and FilmSharks’ Guido Rud and Federico Pascua, is targeted for a North American release in the third quarter of 2026.
Set in 1980s Patagonia, the story follows a hunting guide who discovers a brutal crime linked to his niece, drawing him into an investigation that uncovers the hidden secrets of a dark and violent era. Film stars Joaquín Furriel, the lead actor in Schindel’s 2014 hit “The Boss, Anatomy of a Crime.”
Said D’Amico: “We are excited to bring this exciting, well-crafted and layered film to audiences in North America. Sebastian Schindel superbly directs a talented cast and Guillermo Nieto’s cinematography deftly helps create a chilling atmosphere in this story of crimes past and present.”
The picture also stars Soledad Villamil (“The Secret in Their Eyes”) and Alejandro Awada (“Nine Queens”).
“Myriad is a legendary label with a great eye for cinema and we truly feel we have found the best distributor for this cinematic gem in North America,” said Rud, who added that all Latin American rights went to the Walt Disney Company, Movistar+ for Spain and AV Jet for Taiwan.
Discussions are underway with France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Korea, Italy and Japan.
