Based on Karen Kingsbury‘s 2005 novel, Thousand Tomorrows follows a few rodeo riders – Cody Gunn (Colin Ford) and Ali Daniels (Rose Reid) – whose love helps them overcome their fears. The show was originally debuted at Great American Pure Flix in 2023 before being brought to Netflix two years later.

The sequel continues the story of Cody and expands the fictional universe by following his younger brother Carl, who has Down’s syndrome. Despite the tease of a continuation, Kingsbury recently went to social media to close reports that the show had already been renewed.
“I never really confirmed a season 2 of a thousand Tomorrows … but … there is another book in the series,” she wrote via Instagram on Saturday 6 September. “And now you have made season 1 top 5 on @netflix! So, would you like to see a season 2 of a thousand Tomorrows?”

When Thousand Tomorrows Originally premiered in 2023, Ford, 28, about how crucial the role for him was after considering a change in career.
