Disney must say no to Trump

John Oliver used most of his episode from “last week tonight” on September 21 and broke the indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel at ABC. At the end of his segment that analyzed the developments of the past week and the business players involved, Oliver used the opportunity to speak directly with Disney CEO Bob Iger.
“Hello there, Bob. We didn’t meet each other, but you probably know me as the third favorite Zazu of America,” said Oliver, reminding of his “Lion King” voting roll. “Congratulations on rearranging that role, by the way. It was nice to learn afterwards. Anyway, one day the history of the time we live will be written, and if it is, I am not sure terrible. But history will also remember the cowards who certainly knew better, but still let things happen, whether it was for money, convenience or just comfort. I know this is a difficult sale, and it can be a bit of anathema for risky managers.
“But I will say this,” he continued. “If we have not learned anything else from the second term of this administration so far, and I don’t think we have that, it is giving the bully that your lunch money will not go away. It just lets him come back more hungry every time. They will never stop. They have literally said that is open. And [FCC chairman Brendan] Carr shocked that ‘the view’ might be the next. The damn ‘view!’ Look, at some point you have to draw a line. So I would claim, why wouldn’t you draw it here? And when they come to you with stupid ridiculous requirements, choosing fights that you know you could win in court instead of rolling, why don’t get up and use four keywords they don’t have at the Business School. Not “Okay, you’re the boss.” Not “what you say goes.” But instead, the only sentence that can really make a weak bully disappear. And that is: “Fuck you, make me.” ‘
