Devon Walker responds to ‘SNL’ fan support after leaving the show

Devon Walker responded to support from “Saturday Night Live” fans after he announced that he left the show after three seasons.
“Ohhh my boys,” wrote a user of social media who posted photos of Walker with Michael Longfellow, who also leaves “SNL” after three seasons. “I wish you both nothing but the best,” the fan added, using a sad face and heart emojis.
Walker Gave back on x“You pretend we died lol we just get different jobs.”
Walker, who was Well-Known on “SNL” for his Eric Adams and Michael Strahan Impressions, is Among Four Cast Members who will not be Returning for the Shops Upcoming 51st Season, On NBC on Oct. 4. Announcing his departure on Instagram on Aug. 25, Walker wrote, “Me and the Show Did Three Years Together, and Sometimes It was really cool. Sometimes it was toxic as hell. But we did what we made the most of what it was, even in the midst of all the dysfunction.
The announcement of Emil Wakim followed, while the Newbie of Season 50 wrote: “I will not return to SNL next year. It was a gut punching of a call to get, but I am so grateful for my time there,” Wakim wrote in his announcement. “Every time I scanned the building, I would think how insane it is to work there. It was the most frightening, exciting and rewarding experience of my life and I will miss it very much and all the brilliant people who work there who felt it as a home.”
Long -term wrote about his exit“Will not return for a 4th season at SNL. I wish I was, but it was going. It was the best three years of my life to date. I feel nothing but gratitude for the experience and everyone there. Lorne, you gave me the biggest job in the world and I worked the most.”
On Thursday afternoon, Variety reported that Heidi Gardner also leaves “SNL” after eight seasons. She was the longest current current female cast member in season 50 and was known for her “weekend update” characters, including the teen film critic Bailey Gismert and Angel, “Every Boxer’s girlfriend from every movie ever boxing.”
“Saturday Night Live” returns to NBC on October 4.
