Britney Spears accuses Kevin Federline of cheating on her

Britney Spears accuses ex-husband Kevin Federline of her ‘gaslighting’ prior to the release of his memoir.
Spears, 43, shared her feelings via X on Wednesday, October 15 wrote, “My ex-husband’s constant gaslighting is extremely painful and exhausting. I have always begged and screamed to have a life with my boys.”
She added: “Relationships with teenage boys are complex. I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be part of my life.”
The legendary pop star’s comments came after Federline, 47, defended the upcoming publication of his tell-all, You thought you knewwhich details their 2004 marriage and divorce three years later. The exes share two sons, Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19. In the book, Federline claims that Spears mixed wine and prescription drugs during pregnancy and snorted cocaine while breastfeeding their children.
“Unfortunately, they have always witnessed the disrespect they show [their] a father of my own for me,” Spears wrote in her X-post. “They have to take responsibility for themselves. Where one son has only seen me for 45 minutes in the last 5 years and the other has only had 4 visits in the last 5 years. I also have pride. From now on I will let you know when I am available.”
Spears continued, “Believe me, those white lies in that book, they go straight to the bank and I’m the only one really getting hurt here. I will always love them and if you really know me, you won’t pay attention to the tabloids about my mental health and drinking. I’m actually a pretty intelligent woman who has spent the last five years trying to live a holy and private life. I’m speaking out about this because I’ve had enough of it and every real woman [would] do the same.”
On Tuesday, October 14, Spears released a statement after several publications released excerpts from Federline’s book, which will be officially released next week.
“With the news of Kevin’s book breach, he and others are once again taking advantage of her, and unfortunately this comes after Kevin’s child support has ended,” Spears’ rep shared. We weekly at the time. “All she cares about is her children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism. She chronicles her journey in her memoir.”
In 2023, Spears published her own memoir, The woman in mein which she discusses her music career, her 13-year conservatory and her romances with Federline and Justin Timberlake.
Federline responded to her team’s statement in an exclusive interview with Us on Wednesday, insisting, “Money is not the cause of this thing. I feel like if she has the right to tell her story, why not me?”
He said he “couldn’t even remember the last conversation” he had with Spears and wished her well.
“All I really want is for her to have a great relationship with her kids,” he said Us. “I want her to be happy and healthy and all that. I want nothing but greatness for her.”
