Brian Hooker may have left the US during the search for missing woman Lynette

Lynette, 55, has not been seen since she fell from their small dinghy into choppy waters over Easter weekend. Bryan, 59, was initially labeled a person of interest in his wife’s disappearance and was brought in for questioning by Royal Bahamas police.

However, after several days in custody, he was released without any charges. Almost immediately he left the islands for an undisclosed location to, according to him, care for his ailing mother. Nothing has been heard from him since.

Now a friend of the experienced skipper told me Fox News that Brian may have left the US entirely through the California-Mexico border.

“You’re telling me, Brian, 6’2”, Marine Corps tattoo, ultra-white hair, grin of the century – not one person at a Safeway, has had a QT [QuikTrip]or a Buc-ee’s, or In-N-Out, look for him?” the friend asked.

Another skipper said that in the past it was possible for small ships to cross the U.S. border from San Diego, California, to Tijuana, Mexico, for day trips, often without being asked for an ID or passport.
