‘Among Us’ TV show Surprise arrives on Paramount+

Emergency meeting! The animated TV show ‘Among Us’ has suddenly arrived on Paramount+ and all 10 episodes are now fully available to stream.

Series stars Yvette Nicole Brown and Liv Hewson made the surprising announcement Friday afternoon during the Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles. The announcement comes as a, well, surprise, as there had been virtually no updates on the project since 2024, when production on the video game adaptation wrapped.

Fans of the Summer Game Fest and watching the livestream were treated to the show’s trailer, in which the cute, monochrome crew members aboard an intergalactic ship must root out a “suspicious” impostor.

The series, from creator Owen Dennis, features a voice cast that includes Brown as “Orange,” Kimiko Glenn as “Cyan,” Hewson as “Black,” Ashley Johnson as “Purple,” Wayne Knight as “Lime,” Phil LaMarr as “Brown,” Randall Park as “Red,” Dan Stevens as “Blue,” Debra Wilson as “Yellow” and “Computer,” Elijah Wood as “Green” and Patton Oswalt as “White.”

Dennis is executive producer alongside Forest Willard and Marcus Bromander, as well as Carl Neisser for Innersloth. Titmouse is the animation studio, with executive producers Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina.

“Among Us” is based on the popular internet game that became a global phenomenon during the pandemic, reaching nearly 500 million monthly active users at its peak by the end of 2020. The game generated more than 4 billion views on YouTube and was ranked No. 1 on the App Store in 55 countries and on Google Play in 66 countries.
