Dick revealed a near-death experience due to an overdose.

Emergency workers administered Narcan — a drug used to reverse opioid overdoses — after the comedian stopped breathing.

The overdose marked another dark chapter in Dick’s long and turbulent history, with substance abuse, legal troubles and repeated attempts at rehabilitation often overshadowing his comedy career in projects like NewsRadio, The Andy Dick Show, And Old school.

“I’ve never seen the tunnel they say is there,” Dick said of his near-death experience. ‘Nothing. But I actually died because nothing was wrong and they had to do one of those Narcan shots on me before.”

He continued, “And when I woke up, I thought, ‘Why didn’t you just let me die?’ What a shame that I had that thought. But the first thing I said was, ‘Where’s the vodka?'”

An insider said: “People are baffled by how casually Andy talks about almost dying. Most people would come out of such an experience terrified, but he speaks about it with this dark humor and blunt honesty that is really disturbing. Fans are relieved that he survived, but hearing him say he wasn’t afraid of dying has really upset people.”

Another source added: “Andy has lived dangerously and publicly struggled with sobriety for decades, but this felt different because it was so close to the edge. Hearing him openly admit that relapse doesn’t scare him has left many people deeply concerned about where his mentality is now.”

The artist achieved one hundred and forty-seven days of sobriety.

Dick admitted that the overdose occurred after he accepted drugs from a group of strangers on the street – a decision he now acknowledges was reckless. The incident eventually led him to seek treatment, and he later went to rehab before moving to a sober living facility where substance use is prohibited.

During his new interview about his latest drug crisis, Dick said he was “147 days” sober.

Despite that milestone, he insisted he is largely unafraid of what might happen next.

“Anything that has to do with me, even my own death or dying, doesn’t scare me,” he said. “Relapse doesn’t scare me because I’m not afraid of it. This is a horrible thing to say, but I don’t give a fuck if I relapse.”

The comedian also reflected on the reality of addiction and the illusion of the lifestyle he once embraced. “I want life to be fucking fun, man,” Dick said. “I had a lot of fun smoking weed. I had a lot of fun drinking and doing other drugs. But when you put them all together, those good times were just… not that fun.”

He added, “It’s not as satisfying as just being sober and watching your grandkids play.”

Doctors discovered multiple holes in his brain after scanning his head.

Dick has previously spoken about the physical toll the overdose allegedly left on his body and brain.

During a recent podcast appearance, he claimed that doctors discovered “about five to seven holes” in his brain after scanning his head following the incident.

The actor recalled that his heart had stopped and he was “found purple, not breathing” before paramedics revived him.

He also said he remembers little about the event itself, other than “waking up in the ambulance.”
