This airline is ranked as the most reliable in the United States for 2025

A recent study thoroughly evaluated U.S. airlines to determine which airline deserves the title of most reliable, yielding findings that may come as a surprise to many travelers.

Avelo Airlines, a budget airline founded in 2021, has been recognized as the most reliable airline in the United States for 2025, according to a recent survey by aviation data firm Anuvu. The evaluation took into account two primary metrics: on-time performance and the number of flight cancellations. Avelo led both categories, with an on-time arrival rate of 83.9% and a cancellation rate of 0.48%.

Despite its relatively small size, Avelo is expanding its operations, offering regional flights along both U.S. coasts, select inland cities such as Dallas and Salt Lake City, and international destinations including Cancun, Mexico; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

After Avelo, Delta Air Lines secured second place in on-time performance with an arrival rate of 81.9%, while Southwest Airlines took second place in flight cancellations with a rate of 0.82%.
