Richard Jenkins Joins HBO Limited Series ‘DTF St. Louis’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Richard Jenkins has joined the cast of the upcoming HBO limited series ‘DTF St. Louis’ Variety has learned.

Jenkins will appear in the series alongside previously announced leads Jason Bateman, David Harbor and Linda Cardellini. The show was picked up by HBO for seven episodes in November and is now in pre-production.

The official logline now states that the show is “about a love triangle between three adults who experience a middle-aged malaise that leads to one of them dying.” Jenkins will appear in the role of Detective Donoghue Homer.

Jenkins is a very talented and versatile actor with strong credentials in drama and comedy in film and television. He won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for the HBO miniseries “Olive Kitteridge.” He was nominated for another Emmy in 2023 for his work in the Netflix series ‘Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’. His other TV credits include ‘Berlin Station’ and ‘Six Feet Under’. In film, Jenkins has been nominated for two Oscars: one for best actor in 2009 for the film “The Visitor” and another for best supporting actor in the best picture winner “The Shape of Water.”

He is represented by Gersh.

Steven Conrad serves as writer, showrunner, executive producer and director for “DTF St. Louis.” Both Harbor and Bateman will executive produce, with Bateman doing so under his Aggregate Films banner. Other executive producers include: Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch for Escape Artists; Molly Allen; Bruce Terris; Michael Costigan for Total Films; Kristina Wenson for Bravo Axolotl; and MGM Television.
