Paris Hilton raises $800,000 for GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund

Paris Hilton’s Malibu home may have been destroyed by the Los Angeles fires, but that hasn’t stopped her from helping others.

The pop culture mogul announced Tuesday that her nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact, has raised $800,000 in emergency relief funds in 72 hours. $150,000 has already been awarded to GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund to provide immediate financial assistance to 150 Altadena families.

“After meeting people affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, I heard heartbreaking stories of loss, but also of inspiring resilience. My goal is to help as many people as quickly as possible, which is why I am donating $150,000 to the GoFundMe Wildfire Relief Fund, providing immediate monetary relief,” Hilton said in a statement to Variety. “Hundreds of families will receive this assistance immediately so they can meet their needs and start rebuilding their lives today. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this devastating situation, and my team and I at 11:11 Media Impact will continue to show up.”

Hilton strengthened several nonprofits this weekend by using social media to highlight their work. She spent time as a volunteer at Baby2Baby packing essential items for families in need, and at the Pasadena Humane Society, where she cared for Zuzu, a dog surrendered to the shelter due to the Altadena fire.

A call to action for needed volunteers at Project Angel Food resulted in 8,000 responses in 48 hours, compared to 3,800 volunteers in all of 2024

Hilton revealed on January 9 that she and her husband Carter Reum lost their Malibu home. “Heartbroken beyond words,” she wrote as she shared news footage of her burning home on Instagram. “Sitting with my family, watching the news and seeing our house in Malibu burn down live on TV is something no one should ever have to experience. We have built so many precious memories in this house. It’s true [son] Phoenix took its first steps and what we dreamed of building lifelong memories with [daughter] London.”
