Diddy documentary trailer shows party footage, bodyguard speaks out
Peacock has unveiled the trailer for a new Diddy documentary in which his bodyguard, intern, makeup artist and producer speak out against the disgraced music mogul.
“Honestly, I didn’t want to be around him unless there were cameras,” says one of the people in Sean Combs’ inner circle in the trailer for “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.”
The 90-minute documentary special premieres on Peacock on January 14 and promises to “provide crucial insight into the forces that shape the [Combs] and may have turned him into a monster.
“Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy” features interviews with one of Combs’ childhood friends, his former bodyguard and a winner of Diddy’s music competition series “Making the Band.” Additionally, producer and singer-songwriter Al B. Sure!, who was at Uptown Records with Combs and dated Kim Porter before him, speaks about his former labelmate.
The documentary also includes new footage of Diddy partying, both at home and in the studio. An anonymous interviewee in the trailer says: “I’ve been with Sean for a while and have captured a lot of moments. Every time a studio or other room turns red, he is making love and sex. Some of those who entered the room were certainly minors.”
Combs has been accused by multiple people of rape, child sexual abuse and sexual misconduct for incidents that occurred between 1991 and 2023. His homes were raided by the Department of Homeland Security and he was arrested after a grand jury indicted him. He was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering and is currently in custody in Brooklyn awaiting a criminal trial in May. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all federal criminal charges as of 2024.
‘Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy’ isn’t the only documentary exploring the dark and disturbing world of Diddy. Netflix is producing a docuseries from Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson about Combs’ allegations, and ID (the producers of the Nickelodeon exposé “Quiet on Set”) will investigate the fallen rapper-producer in a multi-part documentary premiering on Max .
“Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy” is produced by Ample Entertainment, Blink Films and FGW Productions. Executive producers are Ari Mark, Phil Lott, Sumit David, Stephanie Frederic, Laura Jones and Justine Kershaw. Sara Lavery is a co-executive producer.
