Variety, entertainment tonight hosting the Golden Globes Red Carpet Pre-Show

Variety and “Entertainment Tonight” are teaming up for the second year in a row to produce the official digital red carpet pre-show for the Golden Globe Awards, airing live on January 5 on Variety.com, CBS and Paramount+.

The digital pre-show starts at 3:30 PM PT Variety‘s digital and social platforms, ETOnline.com, ET’s YouTube channel, ET’s streaming network, which can be viewed on Pluto, Paramount+, Samsung TV and more platforms, and GoldenGlobes.com. The pre-show will also be streamed through venues such as Billboard, Rolling Stone and SheKnows, all owned by Penske Media Corp., which also owns the Golden Globes in a joint venture with Eldridge.

The official pre-show is presented by Variety‘s senior culture and events editor Marc Malkin and “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Rachel Smith, with fashion coverage from Variety‘s senior entertainment writer Angelique Jackson and senior entertainment and media writer Matt Donnelly. Expect exclusive interviews with the evening’s nominees as they enter the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the ceremony.

“Comes after a record year of viewership for our Variety video series, we are excited to once again collaborate with the Golden Globes and ET on the official digital pre-show,” said Variety‘s co-editors-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh and Cynthia Littleton. “No one covers the red carpet better than Marc, Rachel and our team of talented reporters.”
