‘Rez Ball’ Actor Praises LeBron James for Producing Native American Films

Actor Kusem Goedewind says he is involved in the Le Bron James-produced film “Rez Ball” was the ultimate honor…praising the Lakers superstar for putting the Native Americans in the spotlight with the film.
Goodwin played Nataanii Jackson in the sports drama released in September, which saw a Native American high school basketball team compete for the state title after losing its star player.
Goodwin says TMZ Sports he felt a deep sense of pride when he took part in the project…especially because it highlights Indigenous athletes and draws attention to their experiences like never before.
“Just to be a part of ‘Rez Ball,’ a story that resonates with all of Indian Country – it’s honestly a tremendous honor,” Goodwind said.
Goodwind also explained how King James and his SpringHill Company made it all even more special… explaining that life on set was great.
“I haven’t met LeBron yet, but honestly his people were so nice during production,” Goodwind said. “Shoutout to [producer] Spencer BeighleyHe’s my boy.”
“I’m just grateful to SpringHill production for me to be a part of a project like this because it means so much to a lot of Indigenous people.”
“I couldn’t say ‘thank you’ enough to all his people.”
Although Goodwind said he hasn’t met the king yet, he knows what it will be like when they DO meet.
“I want a three-point shootout!”
