Chris Rock Jokes About Alleged CEO Shooter Luigi Mangione on ‘SNL’
Chris Rock aimed at Luigi Mangione on “Saturday Night Live” this week, which made a stinging joke comparing the alleged CEO shooter’s appearance to that of an actor Jonah Hill.
The comedian walked on stage for his cold open while hosting ‘SNL’ and dove straight into the high-profile murder of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare Brian Thompsonsaying he felt sorry for the man’s family.
Chris then noted that everyone in the country is fixated on Mangione’s good looks before delivering the punchline… “If he looked like Jonah Hill, no one would care.” They had already given him the chair – he would be dead. .”
Ouch!
Chris then got serious for a moment, reminding the audience that Thompson was a “real person” and a father with children, while also sending his condolences to the CEO’s family.
But then Chris joked, “You also have to say, ‘You know, sometimes drug dealers get shot.'”
