“Teddi and Edwin had been working through the issues in their marriage, despite his past missteps,” the insider said. “They stayed in the marriage because of the children. Teddi doesn’t excuse her behavior, but this was the first and only time she strayed outside the marriage and says there are two sides to the story. They are both guilty.”
Mellencamp further elaborated on her affair with Schroeder in an Instagram post on November 24. “The only person who can change your life is you. We have 2 options: pretend to be a victim or stand up and fight for yourself. We all deserve peace and happiness,” Teddi wrote. “I cried and mourned. I have taken responsibility and apologized for the things I did wrong. Now I have given myself permission to grow and blossom.”
“Every story has three sides. How can I stand up and stand up for the people who matter?” she continued. “This is called being an adult. This is what saying with all your heart means.”
In the comments section of her post, Mellencamp denied speculation that she was hooked up with Schoreder while his wife was in labor. She wrote: ‘No. Not true.”

And that is what gives you peace.”
“I think when you try to control things you can’t control, you rob yourself of your inner peace,” he continued. “So I’ve been intentional about that part and staying in faith and focusing on the kids and things like that.”
