My Chemical Romance breaks the silence after the death of ex-drummer Bob Bryar

My Chemical Romance has broken the silence on the death of its former drummer Bob Bryan.

“The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob’s passing,” a spokesperson for the rock group said in a Sunday, Dec. 1 statement confirming Bryar’s death. BBC And Variety.

TMZ reported on Saturday, November 30, that Bryar was found dead at his home in Tennessee just days earlier on Tuesday, November 26. He was 44 years old.

According to the outlet, Bryar was last seen on November 4 and his cause of death is unclear. According to TMZ, no foul play was suspected.

Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004 and replaced the original drummer Matt Pelissier. He stayed with the group – alongside band members Gerard Weg, Ray Toro, Mikey Gone And Frank Iero – through 2010. During Bryar’s tenure with the band, My Chemical Romance released their most popular album, 2006’s The Black Parade.

Bryar left the group in 2010, before the release of their fourth studio album, Danger Days: the true lives of the fantastic killjoysalthough he received some songwriting credits on the record.

“Four weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways,” rhythm guitarist Frank Iero said in a statement on the band’s website in March 2010. “This was a painful decision for all of us and it has not been made. light. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect the same from you all.”

In the years following his departure from MCR, Bryar worked on other music projects before reportedly transitioning to a career in real estate.

Speaking with the Alternative press in 2016, Bryar shared details from his early days as part of My Chemical Romance and knew the band was ‘special’ from the start.

“I left a really good touring gig where I was a tour manager and making noise. I left that job to join a band that was dirty, had bad gear, a broken down, smoking, deadly van and was poor. They also smelled bad. I was so happy with the offer,” he told the outlet. “I knew that long before we recorded ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ [MCR] were special and I wanted to participate. I wanted to help the band evolve and be able to shred with them every night.
