Pregnant Brittany Mahomes shares the one workout she’s struggling with
Brittany Mahomes has never been one to stay active during her pregnancy.
But according to 29-year-old Brittany, there’s one exercise routine she’s starting to struggle with.
Sharing images of themselves during different training sessions via her Instagram story on Friday, November 8, Brittany revealed that step-ups have become increasingly difficult to perform.
“Step-ups – the one workout that is killing me as I get pregnant,” she wrote, adding laughing emojis.
Brittany admitted that she still enjoyed other types of workouts, including sumo squats with hand weights.
“Sumo whatever, sign me up,” she wrote in another video shared to her Instagram Story.
Brittany and her husband Patrick29, announced in July that they were expecting their third child. The couple are already parents to daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, who turns 2 in November.
This isn’t the first time Brittany has shared her pregnancy fitness regimen with her followers.
In October, Brittany’s routine was revealed thanks to her fitness instructor Kirsty Raewho shared via Instagram how the pregnant star was working out to avoid ‘mom butt’.
“Many women experience what’s called ‘mama butt’ during and after pregnancy, which happens when the glutes lose their shape and muscle mass,” Rae captioned the video of Brittany working out. “This is often due to changes in posture and the way we move as our bodies adjust to pregnancy.”
The personal trainer explained what steps other expectant mothers can take to prevent this.
“By focusing on glute involvement and maintaining strength training, you can actually continue to build muscle,” she explained. “It’s all about proper movement, posture and progressive overload.”
Brittany has often shared glimpses into the reality of being pregnant with her third child, previously admitting that this time was the hardest yet.
“Good morning, just me and my skin [sic] gone crazy,” Brittany wrote in July with an unfiltered selfie via her Instagram Story. “This pregnancy has been the hardest for me… illness, exhaustion and now skin!”
Brittany and her NFL star husband Patrick first met as teenagers in high school before getting engaged in 2020 after eight years together.
The couple tied the knot in March 2022 and kept fans updated on their growing family every step of the way.
However, this will be the last pregnancy for the couple, with Patrick sharing in July that he was ‘done’ after three.
“I said three and I’m done,” the quarterback told reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs training camp news conference. “I always wanted to have children at a young age. I grew up in a locker room and it had such an impact on my life. We are now on our third child. … Brittany does a great job of that and we still go out and enjoy our lives.”
