Singer Loomis Butcher’s Anthem at Live Event, Begs for Do-Over
Step aside, Fergie …rising singer Loomis is the last person to completely butcher the national anthem, and the flub is super toe-curling, to say the least.
As you can see, the singer starts strong in Thursday’s presidential debate on the Free and Equal Elections… but soon goes out of tune, loses her cool and pleads into the microphone: “I screwed up, I screwed up. Can I can go back, can I please go back?’
As if that wasn’t enough, a cameraman comes by to let her know she’s live. She is shocked and tries to continue… but her cracking voice gets worse.
She’s clearly mortified, admitting halfway through the song, “I got too nervous!”
Meanwhile, everyone behind her does their best to keep a straight face, offering them a pitying applause when she finally wraps it up.
However, she did not receive the same sympathetic treatment online and faced a wave of backlash and ridicule on social media.
The event was held for third party presidential candidates including Jill Stein of the Green Party… Chase Oliver of the Libertarian Party…and Randall Terry of the Constitution Party.
So until the next brave soul slays the national anthem, it looks like this will be her claim to fame for a while!
