TAP Air Portugal starts four new routes from today and tomorrow | News

TAP Air Portugal will operate four new routes from yesterday 1 and today 2 July 2026, further strengthening its offering to European, island and intercontinental destinations.
Yesterday, July 1, the new connection between Porto and the island of Terceira in the Azores started, with four weekly flights operated by Airbus A320neo aircraft. The flights depart from Porto on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 3:20 PM and arrive in Terceira at 5:05 PM. In the opposite direction, flights from Terceira depart on Mondays and Sundays at 5:55 PM and on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:10 PM, arriving in Porto at 9:25 PM and 9:40 PM respectively.
Later today, TAP will launch the route between Lisbon and Athens, with five weekly flights.
Tomorrow, on July 2, the new route between Lisbon and Curitiba will start, with three weekly frequencies operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft, according to the route Lisbon (LIS) – Curitiba (CWB) – Rio de Janeiro (GIG) – Lisbon (LIS), on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flights depart from Lisbon at 1:00 PM on Tuesdays, at 3:00 PM on Thursdays and at 11:45 AM on Saturdays, arriving in Curitiba between 6:45 PM and 9:55 PM. The flights then continue to Rio de Janeiro and on the return journey depart from Rio de Janeiro to Lisbon between 11:00 PM and 2:15 AM and arrive at their destination between 12:55 PM and 3:55 PM.
Also tomorrow, TAP will launch flights between Porto and Praia, in Cape Verde, with three weekly frequencies operated by Airbus A320neo aircraft. Flights depart from Porto on Tuesdays at 8:35 PM, Thursdays at 8:25 PM and Sundays at 8:10 PM, arriving in Praia between 11:20 PM and 11:40 PM. In the opposite direction, flights depart Praia on Mondays and Wednesdays at 1:10 AM and on Fridays at 1:30 AM, arriving in Porto between 8:10 AM and 8:15 AM.
It will be possible to connect to these flights from UK airports.
TAP Air Portugal currently flies from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester airports in the UK and from Dublin in Ireland to Lisbon and Porto with onward connections to Brazil, Africa, Madeira, the Azores, the US and Canada. TAP has a stopover program that allows passengers on long-haul trips to stop in Lisbon or Porto for up to ten days without additional flight costs.
